DE-AERATED FEED WATER TANKS
De-aerated feed tanks are used to remove oxygen from the water that is fed for the boilers. Oxygen in feed water can be removed by heating the water and by chemical treatments. If the water is heated to 85-90°C, bulk of the oxygen will be removed.
De-aerated feed tanks are classified into two types.
1. Flash condensing De-aerator tanks
2. Tray type De-aerator.
Flash Condensing De-aerator tanks
Flash Condensing De-aerators are of non pressurized type with capacities ranging from 500 litres to 20,000 litres. These tanks are made of Stainless Steel. Tank will be fitted with a flash condensing de-aerator head consists of mixing unit, immersion tank. De-aerator head will have a airvent and vaccum breaker connection also.
