Surge Vessels
A surge tank is a vessel that is used to absorb the sudden change of pressure in the system as well as to provide extra water during brief drop in pressure.
Specifications:
Design Standards – ASME Section VIII Div I
Working Pressure – up to 70 bar
Volume – 100 litres to 100,000 litres
Material – SA516 GR 70 or A36
Painting
Tanks are externally sand blasted to SA 2.5 and then coated with one coat of red oxide and one coat with blue enamel paint.
Standard
ASME Code Construction: All tanks are constructed in accordance with ASME Code Section VIII Div. 1 stamped and labelled for 150 PSI as standard. Non ASME standard tanks also available.
Bladder
Precision surge vessel are fitted with heavy duty replaceable Butyl Rubber Bladder.
